After moving from Russia to Poland and parting ways with underground metal veterans Grenouer (Sleaszy Rider SRL, Mausoleum Records, Locomotive Records, Copro/Casket Productions), Alexander Sokolov embarked on a bold new journey. Teaming up with producer Giuseppe Bassi (Fear Factory, Mnemic), he began crafting a solo record, marking the inception of FLOWN IN LIMBO.

 

Starting a band with an album recording before assembling a live lineup was a leap into the unknown—an out-of-comfort-zone decision that mirrored the upheaval in Alexander’s personal life. This sense of discomfort and transition shaped the songwriting, giving rise to heavier, darker tracks steeped in raw emotion.

 

As the songs reached their final form, Alexander stepped into dual roles as guitarist and lead vocalist. He joined forces with bassist Paweł ‘Gorek’ Gorzym and drummer Filip Leszczyński to prepare for live performances. After several successful shows, Filip was succeeded by Adam Matafonau, whose fresh energy brought a new dynamic to the band’s stage presence.

 

Today, FLOWN IN LIMBO is a Post-Grunge and Alternative Rock trio hailing from Poland. Their sound is defined by grunge-inspired vocals, catchy down-tuned riffs, tight basslines, and groovy drums. The band's dark, introspective lyrics explore the struggles of loneliness in contemporary society.
